Beginning the week of July 16, Commission Express of the Front Range will begin operating out of new office space at 3525 South Tamarac Drive, Suite 220 (southwest corner of Tamarac and Hampden, just across from Tamarac Square Shopping Center). Our phone and fax numbers will remain the same.
"We are very grateful for the smooth transition that our office sharing arrangement with the pevious owners of the Commission Express business in Colorado permitted for both us and our customers" said Craig Maginness, CE of the Front Range's principal. "The business is to the point, however, that it warrants its own space. REALTORS must face industry's changes head on,says NAR president
Thomas M. Stevens addresses Commission Express® annual franchisee conference
Reston, Va., November 14, 2005
The president of the National Association of REALTORS gave sage advice in a speech November 11 to the Fourth Annual Conference for Commission Express franchisees in Reston, Va.: Survival and success will only come if REALTORS recognize changes in their industry and those they serve, and adapt accordingly.
Held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in the Reston Town Center, the conference attracted more than 80 attendees from 68 units in 39 states. As the largest real estate commission advance service provider in the country, Commission Express franchisees have advanced almost $250 million in commissions since its founding in 1996.
Stevens, a REALTOR since 1972 who also serves as senior vice president of NRT, Inc., told the group that commission advances are much like other common components of business today, such as internet advertising and the use of “smart†phones that can surf the web, and send e-mail and photos. Such components were unheard of just a few years ago. Those who are successful today saw those opportunities and acted upon them.
"These tools allow REALTORS to respond to leads not later today, not tomorrow, but now" said Stevens. The message was clear: What was once revolutionary has now become a necessity for REALTORS who want to succeed.
Stevens told the franchisees that they can play an important role in that success.
"Innovative participants, like all of you, help push us all forward" he said. "With your leadership and contributions to our evolving market, I am certain that we will continue to shape a successful real estate market well into the future." Stevens concluded by saying "I applaud all of you for your vision and your willingness to pursue a new business model serving our industry."
John L. Stedman, president of Commission Express National headquartered in Fairfax, Va., said his group was energized by Stevens's comments.
"His speech affirmed for us that successful REALTORS embrace whatever products, services and tools they need to help them focus their resources and energy on providing service to their clients" said Stedman. "We see ourselves as one of those services, and that’s why our franchisees were so excited to hear what he had to say."
